Japan Day 17 - Himeji

I visited one of Japan most famous castles; Himeji Castle. I’ve known about this castle since I was a kid as I saw it featured in the 1967 Bond movie You Only Live Twice!

Perfect weather and nice blue skies, I enjoyed exploring the castle and castle grounds. Luckily there weren’t too many tourists either. But when I came out all the old day-trippers were having their lunch so I enjoyed photographing some of them!

After most of the day at the castle I got the Shinkansen to Okayama and then a local train to my next stop… Kurashiki ‘The venice of Japan” supposedly!
